Westminster Quakers – vacancy for Resident Friend Volunteer
Another live-in volunteer is needed to support our Meeting’s activities in Westminster Quaker Meeting House. Energy, practical skills and people skills will be required for this two-year volunteering role to help Westminster Quakers achieve their goal of providing an oasis of calm in London’s busy West End.
The Meeting House is first and foremost a place of worship for Quakers, but also serves as a centre for a variety of hirers who host events and activities in the different meeting and therapy rooms.
You will benefit from accommodation in a shared flat in Covent Garden, joining another Resident Friend Volunteer already in position.
Please note: we hope each volunteer will be able to give up to 20 hours active presence every week. Being a Member of the Society of Friends is not a requirement for this post. (there are additional accessibility issues with the role as the volunteer space is on the second flight of stairs with no lift).
